The Scottish Heritage Association of Northeast Ohio (SHANO), formerly Clan Grant #17, was founded in 1885 by Scotsmen of Greater Cleveland. The name Clan Grant was chosen in honor of Ulysses Simpson Grant, the 18th president of the United States. SHANO strives to promote the history and culture of Scotland. In addition to monthly meetings, we hold several events each year that are open to the public, including a Kirkin' of the Tartan and Robert Burns Anniversary Dinner. We welcome new members. Consider joining to celebrate the rich Scottish culture we are fortunate to have right here in Northeast Ohio! |
